Results of the 1st year

After one year of existence, ANTENOR AUCTION house has achieved sales totalling 4.3 million euros at the hammer price, or 5.7 million euros including premium.
Among the 9 sales, we note no less than 4 world records, including an exceptional 15th century altarpiece from Hainaut in polychrome limestone, estimated between 150,000 and 200,000 euros, sold on 30 May for 1,007,500 euros.

We also note a very good result for the important sculpture by Philippe Wolfers, “Le cycle des heures”, which reached 295,000 euros on 12 December.
Another world record for “L’homme solitaire” by Anton Lavinski, fetched 75,400 euros on 30 May, 15 times its estimate.

There were also some fine bids in the jewellery sales: a magnificent sapphire mounted by Van Cleef & Arpels sold for 57,200 euros, while an important set of emeralds and diamonds sold for 84,500 euros on 31 May; the last sale of the year, on 13 December, a very beautiful ruby mounted by Wolfers sold for 58,500 euros.

Finally, we would like to mention the success of the Château de Beaulieu online sale, which was open for 10 days and 95% of the lots were sold on 4 October.
