Antenor Auction is pleased to present a new auction dedicated to furniture and works of art, bringing together several carefully selected private collections.
Among the highlights is a set of eight watercolors on paper from the Italian school, circa 1830, depicting various views of Italy and reflecting the 19th-century taste for landscapes of the Italian peninsula.
The section dedicated to Asia will feature a beautiful collection of Asian art, including a rare collection of Chinese terracotta pieces, an interesting Chinese jade mirror, and two Coromandel lacquer screens forming a four-panel pair. One is decorated with children playing in a garden, while the other depicts dignitaries and court ladies.
The High Middle Ages will also be in the spotlight with a remarkable carved oak group depicting the Three Marys at the Tomb, a work of exceptional craftsmanship characterized by the finesse of its carving.
