1. Bidding in the auction room on the day of the auction
Upon arrival, our staff will assist you to register for the sale; please bring a government-issued ID or passport. You will receive a paddle with your buyer’s number. This paddle is strictly personal, so do not lose sight of it. When you leave the room, please return the paddle to the reception desk.
2. Leaving a purchase order
If you are unable to attend one of our sales, you can leave a purchase order by setting a maximum bid via our form.
The purchase order must include :
- Information about the sale: name of the sale, place and date.
- Your contact details: last name, first name, address, telephone and e-mail address.
- Lot number(s) and description(s)
- Your maximum bid, excluding fees
- Your bank details, IBAN or RIB
- A copy of your ID or passport
- The date and your signature
If you are the highest bidder, you will receive an email from us informing you that you have won the auction.
3. Bid by phone
You can bid live by phone, for lots that have a low estimate of 1.000€ and above. As with purchase orders, you will be asked for a signed registration form, along with your bank details. This document called “purchase order” is available upon request and on the last page of our catalogues, and should be emailed back to us at [email protected].
4. Bid Online (Drouot – Invaluable)
LIVE sales are auctions that are broadcasted live on the Internet via Drouot and Invaluable platforms, enabling you to bid online.
To register :
1. Visit the Drouot or Invaluable website
2. Go to “Log In” and follow the steps to create a personal account
3. Accept the General Terms & Conditions, upload a copy of your ID and a valid credit card
4. After your account is created, do not forget to subscribe to our auction(s)
5. You will receive a confirmation by email when accepted
The platforms offer the following services:
- Live bids: you can participate remotely in an auction in real time. At any time and with a simple click, you can bid as if you were in the auction room on the lots you are interested in.
- Confidential purchase orders: if you are unavailable to bid on the day of the sale, the platform offers a service for placing confidential purchase orders. These orders are executed automatically by the platforms. The maximum amounts are not revealed to the bailiff. Bidders are then guaranteed a purchase at the fairest price if they win the auction.
- Please note that for lots purchased online, an additional fee of 1.5% on Drouot Online and 5% on Invaluable, will be charged in addition to the auction price and the auction fees.
- In order to bid online, you must REGISTER IN ADVANCE ON THE BIDDING PLATFORMS, no later than 24 hours before the start of the auction. Validation of late registrations cannot be guaranteed.
Purchase orders, telephone bidding requests and registration to bid live
must reach us no later than 24 hours before the sale.
