Antenor Auction presents a new sale dedicated to design, structured around several themes.
A first section highlights Italian design from the 1960s, through pieces by emblematic designers, with a rocking chair by Gae Aulenti, an Anemone lamp in Murano glass by Venini, and mirrors by Fontana Arte.
The auction will also showcase contemporary Dutch design, represented by Marcel Wanders, an essential figure on the international scene and co-founder of Moooi editions, whose work reflects a singular approach, at the crossroads of art, craftsmanship and design.
Contemporary design will not be left out, with a major piece by Zaha Hadid.
Zaha Hadid (1950–2016), an Iraqi-British architect, born in Baghdad and known internationally, was a major figure of Deconstructivism.
In 2004, she made history by winning the Pritzker Prize.
With Corian, Zaha Hadid explores new formal boundaries, where innovation meets fluidity.
The piece “Flow” that we are selling at auction embodies this dialogue between architectural vision and technology, giving rise to a sculptural piece defined by continuous and organic lines—hallmarks of her style.
