DAUM IN NANCY, BY EDMOND LACHENAL (1885–1948), "GUI" MODEL Set of 10 Champagne glasses (H: 12.5 cm), 10 wine glasses (H: 11.7 cl), and a decanter (H: 31 cm), made of translucent blown glass and decorated with an enameled design of green stems and leaves, white mistletoe berries, and relief and highlights in fine gold The glasses are signed with the monogram “EL” for Edmond Lachenal, and the carafe is signed in full. Date of creation: 1900–1901 Originally, the prestigious magazine *Les Annales politiques et littéraires* launched a fundraising campaign among its readers to acquire a complete Art Nouveau-style table service. Edmond Lachenal conceived the decorative design, entrusting the earthenware portion to Keller & Guérin (Lunéville) and all the glassware to the Daum company. Pieces from this service are now found in major public collections, notably at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris
