Painting and drawing have long been part of her life. She studied art humanities in Mons, her home town. She then went on to study interior design at Saint-Luc in Brussels, where she now lives.
Twelve years ago, her desire to get to the heart of the matter led her to Sofi Vansaltbommel's studio at the Académie d'Uccle. There she discovered the many facets of ceramics and the magic of earth and fire.
Interested in color, she quickly experimented with glazes. From discovery to surprise, she made the most of it. For her, enamel is not a cover. It's a material in itself, in symbiosis with the earth.
There's a randomness to her work. Things are not fixed. It's a reflection of life, with its twists and turns, its imperfections, its surprises.
Accept them and enjoy them.
