KINGANATOLY STOLNIKOFF - Lot 38
KINGANATOLY STOLNIKOFF Large earthenware dish, Royal Boch La Louvière D: 40 cm Kinga and Anatoly Stolnikoff are a duo of contemporary artists of Hungarian and Russian origin, based in Paris. - Kinga studied political science at the Catholic University of Louvain, then design in London, before devoting herself to painting and photography after training at the École nationale supérieure des arts visuels de La Cambre. - Anatoly trained at the European School of Visual Arts and the Institut Saint Luc in Brussels. His work includes the "Tubus" series of Bauhaus-inspired assemblage dolls. Their interdisciplinary artistic approach combines sculpture, installation, graphic design and architecture. Their research revolves around the relationship between word, line and volume: "Give line depth, words volume and concepts mobility. Their monumental works integrated into public spaces - balustrades, laser-cut metal spheres, public art installations - testify to their desire to fuse poetry, urbanism and visual language. Their works have been installed in public spaces and private collections across Europe (Belgium, France) and in the USA, notably at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, in profound public buildings of contemporary symbolism.
