HÉLÈNE RIST (BORN 1965 IN PARIS) - Lot 3
HÉLÈNE RIST (BORN 1965 IN PARIS) Sekwa II, 2023 Stoneware H: 38 x W: 15 x D: 25 cm Hélène Rist is a ceramic artist based in Brussels. Trained for nine years at the Académie d'Uccle, she explores with clay a hybrid formal universe freely inspired by Wabi-Sabi and tribal art: raw materials, blunt forms, mixed or woven earth, patinated glazes and zoomorphic fetishes conjure up a time of origins, suspended between childhood and prehistory. She notably participated in the Carbone 14 exhibition at Galerie Melissa Ansel, Brussels (2024).
