LIVELY SCENE OF COURTESANS OUTDOORS - Lot 6
LIVELY SCENE OF COURTESANS OUTDOORS After Qiu Ying (1494-1552) China, Qing dynasty (1644-1911) Depicting a lively scene of outdoor courtesans engaged in various activities, apocryphal signature in the lower left corner 仇英 [Qiu Ying] and a red seal, accompanied by calligraphy signed 金师道 [Jīn Shī Dao] and a red seal, containing a poem : 夏人行,青楼翠梧山,风光无处不飞花 夜来风雨声,花落知多少 玉簪梳打月,翠梧风生香 东西南北,春花秋月,何时了,往事知多少 小楼一夜听春雨,深巷明朝卖杏花 无可奈何花落去,似曾相识燕归来 小园香径独徘徊 [Summer people, in the green building, surrounded by lush trees, where the wind carries flowers, filling the air. At night, wind and rain echo; how many flowers have fallen, I wonder? The jade hairpin is combed in the moonlight, and the wind in the emerald trees brings a fragrant aroma. East, west, south and north - spring flowers and autumn moons. When will it all end? What do we know of the past? In a small building, we listen to the spring rain all night, and in the morning, apricot flowers will be sold in the deep alley. There's nothing to do when the flowers fall, and yet it seems familiar when the swallows return. In the little garden, I walk alone along the fragrant path].
