RESPONSIBILITIES

The information contained in the catalogues, advertisements, brochures or any other written material issued by Antenor Auction must be considered as simple indications which do not engage its responsibility in any way. ANTENOR AUCTION does not guarantee the correctness of a statement concerning the author, the origin, the date, the age, the attribution, the provenance, the weight, the dimensions or the material condition of the lot. No employee is authorised to make any guarantees in this respect. Consequently, buyers must assure themselves before the sale as to the nature of the lots and their physical condition. Detailed information on the condition of the lots described by the experts and the auction house is available to buyers on request. ANTENOR AUCTION gives no warranty that any clock, pendula or watches and their mechanisms are in good working order.

BIDS

Bids are placed in the order of the catalogue numbers. ANTENOR AUCTION is free to determine the order of bidding and bidders are obliged to comply with this. EXPORT AND IMPORT

Any lot sold at auction may be subject to export laws from the country in which it is sold and import restrictions from other countries. Many countries require a declaration of export for any lot leaving the country and/or an import declaration on entry of property when the lot enters the country. Local laws may prevent you from importing or selling a lot in the country into which you wish to import it. ANTENOR AUCTION will not be obliged to cancel the sale or refund the buyer the purchase price if the lot cannot be exported, imported or is seized for any reason by a government authority. It is the buyer's responsibility to determine and meet any legislative or regulatory requirements relating to the export or import of any lot purchased. Before bidding, it is the sole responsibility of the bidder to seek advice and comply with the requirements of any applicable laws or regulations relating to the import and export of any lot. If permission is refused or if it takes time to obtain permission, the bidder must still pay ANTENOR AUCTION in full for the lot purchased. In exceptional cases and at the buyer’s request, ANTENOR AUCTION can assist the buyer in obtaining the appropriate permits if the buyer bears the costs. However, ANTENOR AUCTION cannot guarantee that these permits will be obtained. The buyer is solely responsible for the payment of any taxes, duties, or other governmental charges relating to the export or import of the lot. If ANTENOR AUCTION exports or imports the item on behalf of the buyer, paying any taxes, duties or other governmental charges, the buyer agrees to reimburse ANTENOR AUCTION for such amounts.
